Recently, we were introduced to Kirk Craig (founder of Agape Development) during a Sunday morning Worship gathering. Agape has acquired what was formerly an “hourly” motel across the street from their Family Center. They are now in the process of renovating the building into short term apartment housing to help young adults and single-parent families get on their feet. Thanks to your faithful giving, Bethel is able to sponsor the total renovation of one of the rooms (there are 20 rooms in all)!
You may have also heard, that they need our help to start painting and preparing this motel. We have a serving day scheduled for:
- THIS Saturday, June 19th
- 9am-12pm (Meet at the Community Center 8:50am)
- 6508 Calhoun Rd. 77021
- The project is family-friendly
- Come dressed to paint
- Bring a water bottle
