2015 Women's Retreat at Camp Allen (Jan 16-18)

Please join the women of Bethel for our 2015 Women’s Retreat as we explore ways to reflect the love of Christ to others - in the home, in the workplace and in our communities.

UPDATE: Registration is full. However, we'd invite you to get added to the waiting list for our retreat. Someone will be in contact with you about your status.

The retreat will provide a wonderful opportunity to start the year with a time of fellowship, fun, and encouragement as we worship and listen to the dynamic and humorous insights of our speaker.

CONNECT as friends, sisters, wives and mothers as we worship, share in small groups and enjoy free time together.

GROW and build relationships with others as we explore the questions:

  • How do our actions mirror our faith?
  • Do we reflect Christ to others in the midst of the complex pressures and demands we face as women today?
Don't miss this wonderful chance to be refreshed, encouraged, and connected.

Our Speaker:

Darla Baerg

Darla Baerg is a master communicator and humorist who weaves her love for God and for scripture into powerful messages that encourage women to grow more like Christ daily. People are drawn to Darla’s joyfulness, transparency and ability to honestly share God’s word. Her perspectives on life have inspired hundreds of women to reflect the love of Christ in the home, in the workplace, and in the community.

Darla holds a Communication Specialist degree from Baylor University and a Masters degree in Communication from the University of North Texas. Additionally, she has a Masters Degree in Human Resource Development from Vanderbilt University.

Before starting her family, Darla was the Chief of Staff for a United States Congressman and the Director of Training for a large company. She has been married for 24 years; and she and her husband, Bill, have 4 children.

Darla also has served as an adjunct faculty member in the Communications Department at Houston Baptist University and is a frequently sought-after speaker at conferences, MOPS groups and seminars.

Our Worship Leader:

Alison Everill

Ask anyone to describe the music of Alison Everill and you will hear a variety of adjectives like, beautiful, passionate, worshipful, and engaging. But the title of her new recording project, Breathless and Amazed, says it best. Alison will be the first to tell you that the music featured on her album is not at all about her but about her passionate relationship with Jesus Christ. Her faith and her love for music sings of a lifelong relationship with Jesus that clearly defines her priorities as a dedicated wife, loving mother and consummate singer, songwriter and worship leader.

A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Alison began her music ministry as a childhood church musician. From then until now, she has chronicled her faith journey through her beautiful music. From the moment Alison sits at the piano to express her worship for Jesus through one of her original worship songs, listeners are drawn in to hear the passion in her voice and sense her devotion to the Lord through her powerful lyrics that speak volumes not only about her music but her life. She composes her own music and powerfully delivers each Christ-centered message.

Alison’s home church for many years was First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, FL where she ministered in song at their annual Pastor’s Conference. She was the worship musician at the churches where her husband pastored (including Bethel Church), and has traveled to many places over the years to serve the body of Christ in song. She has written and sung with Dove Award winning artist Babbie Mason, and has had several songs signed with Gaither Publishing Company.

Alison is married to Scott. They are the parents of 3 growing boys and they make their home in North Georgia where she is currently the worship leader at First Baptist Church of Holly Springs.
