Although often too much is made of church traditions, occasionally we can find them instructive and helpful. Advent is the traditional season of “expectant waiting”. It is the season preceding Christmas in which believers purposefully and thoughtfully interrupt our lives, to remember Israel’s long wait for Messiah, and to experience the reality of our own waiting for the Lord and Savior’s return.
This Advent season, join with us each Sunday morning as we explore the grand storyline of Scripture: Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Consummation. This represents a biblical outline of history. The great news? It’s our story, too!
Oh come, oh come, Emmanuel!
