Apologetics in a Post-Modern World (April 11, 18, 25)

sunday night seminars5:30 PM in Room 230

When Jesus left us, He gave each of us the charge to make disciples (Matthew 28:19). The beginning of the discipleship journey is the door of conversion. One cannot be a disciple unless she/he first confesses and believes (Romans 10:9). At the core of the Church's mission is to lead others to a saving knowledge of Jesus then help along the journey towards maturity, being conformed to the image of Jesus (Romans 8:29). Unfortunately, Christians too often fail at Jesus' command - 95% of Christians have never led someone to a saving faith in Jesus! Most don’t view their local church as a tool to influence unbelievers with the grace of God. Here's an opportunity to change that status quo. Join us for these upcoming Sunday Night Seminars:

APRIL 11 - Overview of Apologetics and Methodologies (Ken Neumann)

Introduction to the series and a history behind the main approaches to apologetics, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of each approach. Creation and Evolution, Miracles, and the possibility/probability of God will also be addressed.

APRIL 18 - Deity and Authority of Jesus Christ (Ken Neumann)

Learning how to use both the Presuppositional as well as Evidential models to establish the most important issue in sharing the Gospel. Once deity and authority of Jesus has been established, the gospel can be shared.

APRIL 25 - Postmodernism (Shawn Smith)

Focus upon the prevalent thought process and worldview thinking in Western society and how to address the topic when engaging individuals with the gospel. Emergent Theology will also be addressed.
