It's been observed that Genesis, the Bible's first book, begins in a garden and ends in a coffin in Egypt. What happened next in the great drama of God's calling out and fashioning a people for Himself? Are there lessons there for us today, as we too seek to be the people of God?

Join us for a new sermon series on the events of the Exodus. Utilizing the book of Exodus as our primary source, but including portions of the rest of the Pentateuch, we'll study how the God of Israel proved again and again that He was the the God of Promise. We live in that same context of Promise...now revealed in the Gospel of Israel's Messiah, Jesus.

dr. michael boysMichael holds a Doctor of Ministry degree with an emphasis in preaching from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from The Master's Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministries from Baptist Bible College. He served as Senior Pastor of Bear Valley Church in Tehachapi, California from 1989 to 2002. He and his wife, Christy, joined Bethel Church in September of 2002. Michael and Christy have two grown sons: Ryan, married to Lindsay, and Blake married to Bekah, along with 5 grandchildren.
