Lynelle Rowley

Lynelle has served as Bethel's Choir Director for almost 3 years. She earned her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston and completed her undergraduate studies in music at the University of Northern Iowa.

As a native of Iowa, Lynelle has been living and singing in the Houston area for over 5 years. Coming to Christ early in life, she's always held a passion for music and worship, and while her professional training is as a classical vocalist, she's fallen in love with God's calling for her in the music ministry at Bethel. Nothing gives her more pleasure than lifting her voice as a love-offering to the Lord and helping others participate in that same calling.

Lynelle stays continually active as a soprano soloist in the Houston community. She has sung a number of operatic roles which include Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, Helena in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Micaëla in Carmen, and recently as Lucy in Robert Nelson's A Room with a View, which is available on DVD under the Newport Classic label.

Lynelle enjoys an active participation in several chamber music ensembles and serves as a member in the Houston Chamber Choir.
