Casa el Buen Samaritano operates a free clinic in SW Houston. Their mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ while providing whole-person— body, soul, spirit—healthcare to the low-income and uninsured population in our community.
This dynamic ministry is having a significant impact on many needy people in their community. On average, there are over 100 patient visits each month, many by patients who consider Casa el Buen Samaritano to be their health home. Because Casa’s patients are below 150% of federal poverty guidelines and without any form of insurance, they receive a high standard of medical care completely free of charge, including laboratory testing and medications dispensed from their pharmacy.
In addition to their physical care, patients also have an opportunity after their medical visit to meet with a ministry volunteer and hear a personal gospel presentation. Consequently, since the clinic opened in May 2008, over 150 individuals have walked through their doors in physical need and left the clinic affirming Jesus Christ as their Savior.
All clinical care is provided by volunteers, who generously give of their time to serve those in need - including many from Bethel.
